Vintage Maine Half Bucket Co Pine Wood Retriever Dog Basket Planter USA w Tag

Vintage The Maine Half Bucket – Maine Bucket Company – Lewiston, Maine – Made in USA  Beautiful rustic wooden Maine Half Bucket featuring a retriever/sporting dog design surrounded by grasses on the front. Constructed of pine with traditional slatted bucket styling, wood bands and a substantial braided rope carrying handle.  The original Maine Half Bucket hang tag is still attached, and the back is marked The Maine Bucket Company, Lewiston, ME, Made in USA.  According to the original tag, the Maine Half Bucket was designed for a variety of decorative uses including a planter, letter box, dried flower container or magazine rack. It would also make a wonderful rustic storage basket, fireplace accessory, cabin or lodge accent, farmhouse décor piece, or display for a dog lover.  Approximate measurements:  * 12 1/4” across back * 8 1/2” tall at bucket body * 10 1/2” tall to top of wooden handle supports * Approximately 14 1/2” tall to center/top of rope handle  Pre-owned vintage condition with original hang tag attached. Shows some surface marks, variations and light wear consistent with age/storage. Original paper tag also shows age/wrinkling. No plastic liner is included.
