Kobo WiFi N289 eReader with Original Box

Kobo WiFi eReader, model N289, with original Kobo box/packaging/charging cable. The eReader powers on and the physical buttons/navigation controls are working. The left/right/up/down/Enter button is a little tacky to the touch, I’m assuming from age and the material used. I recently charged the device. Battery life and Wi-Fi connectivity have not been tested. Pre-owned vintage condition with normal signs of age/use. There is a nick in the plastic in the top left corner. Please see all photos for condition. Includes the Kobo eReader and original packaging shown in photos and is pre-loaded with 100 classic novels. Support Status Details: Discontinued Services: Kobo has ended active software updates, wireless syncing, and direct store access for many of its earliest generation e-readers, including the N289. Security Constraints: Due to older firmware limits, these legacy devices cannot handle modern security certificates required for direct wireless connections. * You can no longer sync or buy books directly via the device over Wi-Fi. Manual Workarounds: Some users revive older N289 devices by manually downloading archived firmware updates or sideloading books using a computer via USB with the Kobo Desktop app.
